Congo: A Journey of Love and Service

Our dedicated outreach team was honored to venture into the heart of the Come and See church community, in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo – sharing God’s Word with His people!

The heartwarming snapshots below help to see the faces of change—our incredible partners, and the beautiful souls we’ve had the honor of serving.

From sharing meals and warm conversations to providing Bible teaching – every moment was a testament to the power of the Gospel, changing lives.

We were immensely grateful for the strength and dedication of our team, and we thank every member of our ministry family who supported this outreach through prayers, financial support, and kind words of encouragement.

Ministry Opportunities

Our host, and founder of the 1,000 congregation strong Come and See church, Bishop Lambalamba, welcomed Steve Evers, Brian Eschen, Oscar Wakandwa, and I, with open arms.

We were immediately given different congregations where we’d be leading devotions every morning. The meetings started at 06h00 and ended at 07h30 – every day!

Our team members thought it quite humorous when it was explained that our devotions had to be very short – only 30 minutes!

Other ministry opportunities included Bible teaching sessions, pastor training, television and radio broadcasts of our teaching, and a city-wide television interview, with Steve.

The presence of the Holy Spirit was palpable as many were moved in spirit, and minds were renewed – kindling hope and joy in the hearts of the listeners.

The Come and See church has a great understanding of the physical and spiritual needs of their community. They’ve built a medical college and graduated doctors’ man their ministry clinic made up of a sick bay, gynecology ward, pharmacy and operating theater.

Aside from these the church engages in Gospel centered education and empowerment – using the airwaves for both city-wide radio and television networks. They’ve also started literacy programs and the teaching of English (they are French speaking). These efforts, aimed to empower the youth and adults alike, provide skills for a sustainable future.

Their building infrastructure, a very large campus and network of buildings containing all the ministries mentioned, has been self-funded – no international funds have poured into the ministry structures.

A Heartfelt Thank You

This mission could not have been possible without your prayers, support, and generosity. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every volunteer, donor, and prayer warrior who joined forces with us. Your contribution has made an eternal difference in the lives of many in the Congo.

Looking Ahead

While we consider the faithfulness of our Lord, and His great work, we recognize that our ministry is far from over. The seeds we’ve planted require nurturing, and the relationships built, ongoing support. We are committed to continuing our efforts in Congo and invite you to join us in this journey. Let us continue to pray, serve, and give, as we trust God to bring forth an abundant harvest.

We leave you with the words of the Apostle Paul, “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58).

May we always be motivated by love, guided by faith, and strengthened by the hope we have in Christ Jesus.

In His Service,
